It would be incredibly valuable to have a true “global search” feature, possibly enhanced with AI, that allows users to search across either an individual client portal or the entire firm. The ability to search keywords across internal comments, client communications, files, vendors, transactions, tasks, and other records would significantly improve efficiency. Team members could quickly determine whether a topic has already been discussed, locate historical context, or find supporting documentation without manually digging through multiple areas. This would be especially powerful for onboarding new team members who are learning client histories. Instead of relying on tribal knowledge or spending hours searching, they could instantly access relevant conversations and information. A centralized, intelligent search function would reduce extra work, improve response times, and make firm-wide knowledge far more accessible.
