Post Multiple Transactions from Single File
Double's AI can now record multiple transactions from a single source file. Drop one document into your client uploads inbox and let our AI split it into a clean batch of bills, expenses, or journal entries ready to post.
  • Post a whole batch from one file:
Upload a multi-invoice PDF, csv or Excel file and process every transaction in a single pass instead of one at a time.
  • Let AI fill the gaps:
If a vendor or GL account doesn't exist yet, our AI will create it with your approval.
  • Review, then bulk-post:
Double-check the values and post the full batch in one click.
  • No AI? No problem:
Clients in the Core or Plus tier can still create multiple transactions from a single source file manually - just click into the file and select the "Multi-txn from file" option.
Check out the video below to see it in action.

  • Catch up on client activity
    — get instant summaries of recent notes, changes, and tasks so you're up to speed before starting your monthly work.

Allocations
You can now split account balances and individual transactions across classes, locations, or other accounts as part of your month-end close. Define percentage-based or amount splits, and Double will handle the journal entries — no more tracking allocations in a separate spreadsheet.
Choose Account to distribute a full account balance (like Rent Expense across multiple departments), or select an individual Transaction to allocate specific spend or income details. Available now for Scale clients.
To learn more, read our help article here.

AI Transactions: Completely Redesigned
We've rebuilt AI Transactions from the ground up. Instead of starting with a blank text box, you can chat with an intelligent agent, trained in posting various transaction types.
Open the chat, tell the agent what you need in plain language, reference a transaction you've already posted in QBO, pull up a previously saved prompt, or apply a skill you've already built. The agent handles the mapping and asks clarifying questions along the way.
Once the transaction is drafted, the agent offers to save your instructions as a reusable skill - so the next time a similar file comes in, you're one click away from done. Client-specific preferences are saved to memory automatically, so the agent gets smarter with every interaction.
And if something isn't quite right, you don't start over. Reopen the chat, continue the conversation, and the agent updates both the transaction and the skill based on your feedback.
This redesign is now released in beta for clients on the Scale plan. To get access, fill out this form.
General Improvements
  • Added a new merge tag for email templates to include notifications and reminders for organizers, e-signatures & bank feed connections.
  • Budgeted hours by client can now be pulled into the client list dashboard.
  • Implemented SSO login for Chrome extension.
  • Design updates related to refreshed comments view.
  • Updated the pdf viewer in Receipts & AI Transactions to increase document width.
  • Allow bulk selection + scanning of files in the Uploads inbox.
  • Added the option to clear/remove Customer/Project from a transaction.
  • Improved navigation when creating new organizers in the Tax Suite.
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed overlapping vendor labels in the bank feeds auto-classification table, making vendor names easier to read.
  • Fixed an issue where validation errors persisted in the Quick Add and Client Uploads transaction forms after closing and reopening the modal.
  • Fixed a bug where the Close tab only pulled the schedule balance from one accrual schedule when multiple schedules shared the same accumulated depreciation account, causing a mismatch with the Accruals tab.
  • Improved the User Management table to clearly display Accruals permissions for each user.
  • Fixed a bug where the Chrome extension showed an "unable to login" error even when credentials were valid.
  • Fixed a bug where disabling and re-enabling a column in the client list placed it in the wrong position.
  • Fixed a bug where a user was unable to cancel a scheduled email because the preview and cancel option did not appear.
  • Fixed a bug where edits to a saved view in Firm Tasks (such as sort order) were not being saved.

Catch Up Missed Months In Your Accruals
Whether you've issued an invoice after the service term started or booked a prepaid expense the month after the subscription began, you can now add a "catch-up period" when creating a prepaid expense, fixed asset, or deferred revenue schedule.
Just toggle it on, tell us how many months to catch up, and we'll prepend the missed periods to your schedule — booked to the same accounts, in the current open month, so your monthly run-rate stays accurate. Available across all three accrual types and all three conventions (full month, mid-month, and actual days).

makes finding and recalling conversations easier than ever.
  • Smarter search
helps you surface the right comments faster.
