I agree with everyone else who commented, for cleanup work we need more flexibility with the due dates. Also some firms use the due date field to help track when projects were marked "ready for manager review" and for clients from whom we were waiting on information, we need to be able to adjust the date.

Especially needed for backwork projects. We should be able to add dates to cleanup work templates such as “Due 2 weeks from today “. Karbon had those kind of options and I’m really missing that

Agreed. We should be able to set any due date we want out of principle if for no other reason. This is one of those things that the software doesn't need to try to decide what's best.

Yes, please. Restricting the due dates is really not helpful for cleanup jobs. Right now I am getting cleanup jobs to close books for people as of 12/31/24... but I can't schedule the work out past 1/31/25 :/ How are we supposed to plan for capacity or spread the work through tax season...

I'm only now having issues with this also. I just want to set task due dates for bank recs in the same month as the close I'm working on (i.e. in the December close, setting a due date for Dec 15th to match the bank statement date). I've always been able to do this until just now - Every time I try to select a date in December now, it defaults to January. Wondering what changed here and how to fix.

We have a client who uses a month-end date of the 20th. We'd like to set their close to be due on the 25th of the current month, i.e. October close due on October 25th.

For clients that are behind, I have to be able to select a previous due date when adding another "late" close. It only defaults to the current month's close which is inaccurate as I have my clients sorted by due date. And since the client list only shows the latest close, I still want to show that the previous close is also late. This is as of 10/1/24.

When we have new clients that have back work it would be best to be able to select a current due date instead of having the tasks be immediately overdue.
