Subtasks assigned to different users

Subtasks in a checklist need to be able to be assigned to different people. Even if the main task is assigned to one person, it sometimes relies on something first being done by someone else. That does not belong in a separate task, it's all part of the same task, but parts need to be owned by separate people.

I think this has been requested a few times. Doubles solution I believe was to have prior sign offs, but that means the whole task is assigned to someone else first, and then changes to the task to someone else. I agree though that sometimes one person owns the task and can work on it while another person is needing to complete a small piece of the pie which is perfect for a subtask.

I feel like this has been requested multiple times in a variety of ways but nothing has been done towards making this happen. Instead we are making "Dark Mode" a priority for an update. Functionality over esthetic please

I just looked back and I made a request in November of 2025. I am sure I made another before that

Agreed! Or link tasks? So Task 2 cannot be completed until Task 1 is?
