I'd like to request a feature that allows aggregating multiple like GL accounts into a single Account Reconciliation task, rather than getting one auto-created task per account.
Use case: Fixed assets and accumulated depreciation. My clients often have several fixed asset and accumulated depreciation accounts on the GL, all supported by a single depreciation roll-forward schedule. Today each account comes in as its own reconciliation task, which creates clutter and duplicative sign-off work when they all tie to one supporting schedule.
What I'd want:
Ability to group/select multiple GL accounts under one Account Reconciliation task.
The task's "GL balance" would be the sum of the selected accounts.
Reconcile the combined balance to a single supporting schedule (e.g., FA roll-forward).
Other candidates for aggregation:
Multiple operating bank accounts at the same institution
Related prepaid or accrued liability accounts sharing one schedule
Intercompany Due To/From groupings
Scope: Ideally available for Account Reconciliation tasks; would also be useful for other closing task types if feasible.
Happy to jump on a call if that helps clarify the workflow.
Thanks! Bob
